Identify the size of your tyre
The exact dimensions of a tyre can be found on the sidewall printed mark. The graphic shows how to read properties and dimensions of the tyre:

SPEED INDEX:
The speed index indicates the maximum speed intended for the tyre. Up to this value, the manufacturer guarantees optimum operation with the appropriate tyre pressure. The maximum speed allowed for this vehicle is given in the vehicle owner's manual; this information can be used to select the appropriate speed index for the tyre. The speed index is the last mark on the sidewall of the tyre.
 
Load Index
Permissible maximum axle load per tyre in kg. To be found in the registration certificate or vehicle registration document or read directly from the tyre (two-digit number). It is permitted to fit a tyre with a higher load index.
 
Driving safety despite puncture
Runflat tyres are puncture-resistant tyres with reinforced sidewalls. This creates the so-called run-flat property. In the event of damage, this allows the vehicle to continue driving up to a distance of approx. 100 km (and even beyond depending on the product) at a maximum speed of 80 km/h, even if the pressure has been completely lost. Run-flat tyres even prevent the tyre rubber from jumping off the rim in the event of a loss of air pressure. A flat tyre is therefore still a flat tyre, but it loses some of its drama. Note: All run-flat tyres are marked with the symbol "RSC" (Runflat System Component) and may only be fitted in vehicles with a functioning air pressure control system!
 
Tyres with increased load capacity
Reinforced tyres are designed for higher loads than normal tyres. They can be identified by the designation 'RF' (reinforced) or also 'XL' or 'Extra Load'. They are used on vans, minibuses, off-road vehicles, etc. However, their mounting alone does not automatically result in higher load capacity but also requires a correspondingly higher air pressure. Furthermore, the load capacity index specified in the vehicle documents continues to apply.
 
Tyres with extra high load capacity
The "C" in the term C tyres stands for "commercial". These tyres are specially designed for commercial vehicles. These can be, for example, lighter trucks, delivery vans, flatbed trucks or panel vans. In other words: vehicles that have to move higher loads at a comparatively lower speed. The multi-ply reinforced C tyres are therefore even more load-bearing than reinforced tyres.
 
Mobility-optimised tyres
A tyre with a sealing layer on the opposite side of the tyre tread. In the event of a puncture (e.g. by a nail), this layer blocks any loss of air, even if the foreign body causing the puncture is still in the tyre. It is not necessary to stop or change the tyres immediately at the roadside.

Original equipment quality: optimum adjustment to the vehicle
Tyres with a special OEM marking on the sidewall, e.g. "MO" for Mercedes-Benz, were developed in cooperation with a specific car manufacturer and the tyre industry. These tyres have been homologated by the vehicle manufacturer and are a perfect match for a specific model. They have been specially designed to highlight or further improve the performance characteristics of the car in question, thus representing the culmination of a state-of-the-art fine-tuning process that perfectly complements the latest technological developments in the automotive industry. Tyres with manufacturer's markings can of course also be used on other vehicles.

I drive fast and furious when required or slow and deliberate in slow traffic! I used these tyres on my 5 series BMW 525iSE and were superb! Now on Mrs Peugeot 308 hdi and pretty good!

Tyres are fine apart from one problem, the rears on a motorway are just really noisy at speed when they get down to around 4mm of tread, so much so that I thought it was a wheel bearing issue, and checked them out, they appeared to be OK, when I fitted new rear tyres the noise disappeared

Incredible tyres. Was hard to find them in the UK but worth every penny. Noise level drastically reduced despite having another top brand previously. Good grip on all types of road. Easily takes on a bit of dynamic driving. Very impressed.

I&#39;ve had these tyres before and it&#39;s the wet grip that impresses the most, indeed that&#39;s why I replaced the old ones with the same - I can&#39;t say I noticed much difference otherwise but in the wet they&#39;re good and don&#39;t seem to slide or skid under braking like the more commonly available US style tyres I&#39;ve had. They&#39;re also H rated so no worries about exceeding the tyre&#39;s limit when driving abroad on the autobahn.

I am a High mileage driver covering all roads day and night. This is a premium summer tyre made for dry grip and wet braking. Out of a budget , midrange and premium I&rsquo;ve noted , the cheapest gives me around 6000 miles. The mid ranges cover around 12000 miles and premiums last around 18000 miles. In terms of grip it always has to be premium. These are also much quieter than budget tyres. I&rsquo;ve covered 25000 miles of hard driving with these tyres and they still have around 3mm left. This is the second summer I&rsquo;ve purchased these tyres. Good on price as well as grip

Regularly drive in UK and Europe, both South and North, therefore need tyres h that can cope with a wide variety of road and weajther conditions. No practical time to change tyres one day dry roads, next day snow and ice, especially off-road where may go from abrasive tarmac to wet slippery clay slopes. I expect a 4 x4 to be able to cope with most conditoins and not get stuck, the tyrpes transfer the power and direction to the surface and these tyres are the best I have used for traction, wear, noise overall and dont add to the roll of the vehicle thanks to the wall strength. I will stick to these tyres all year round.

I&#39;ve had no problems with these tyres,they have performed perfectly on snow and ice,also wet and dry conditions no problems.they are not to noisy either,I can recommend these for a Land Cruiser

Not had snow but previous experience with these tyre on Nissan X trail was very good . I have used Nokian tyres for a number of years on several vehicles and found them to be the best performers I&#39;ve ever had. 45000 miles on front axle in X trail , fantastic!

They are Pirelli tyres so should be good across the board. However the driving comfort in my electric car is not the same anymore with these tyres due to minor vibrations and no I don&rsquo;t have balancing issues so will switch back to Michelin when I need new tyres which won&rsquo;t be anytime soon.
