Identify the size of your tyre
The exact dimensions of a tyre can be found on the sidewall printed mark. The graphic shows how to read properties and dimensions of the tyre:

SPEED INDEX:
The speed index indicates the maximum speed intended for the tyre. Up to this value, the manufacturer guarantees optimum operation with the appropriate tyre pressure. The maximum speed allowed for this vehicle is given in the vehicle owner's manual; this information can be used to select the appropriate speed index for the tyre. The speed index is the last mark on the sidewall of the tyre.
 
Load Index
Permissible maximum axle load per tyre in kg. To be found in the registration certificate or vehicle registration document or read directly from the tyre (two-digit number). It is permitted to fit a tyre with a higher load index.
 
Driving safety despite puncture
Runflat tyres are puncture-resistant tyres with reinforced sidewalls. This creates the so-called run-flat property. In the event of damage, this allows the vehicle to continue driving up to a distance of approx. 100 km (and even beyond depending on the product) at a maximum speed of 80 km/h, even if the pressure has been completely lost. Run-flat tyres even prevent the tyre rubber from jumping off the rim in the event of a loss of air pressure. A flat tyre is therefore still a flat tyre, but it loses some of its drama. Note: All run-flat tyres are marked with the symbol "RSC" (Runflat System Component) and may only be fitted in vehicles with a functioning air pressure control system!
 
Tyres with increased load capacity
Reinforced tyres are designed for higher loads than normal tyres. They can be identified by the designation 'RF' (reinforced) or also 'XL' or 'Extra Load'. They are used on vans, minibuses, off-road vehicles, etc. However, their mounting alone does not automatically result in higher load capacity but also requires a correspondingly higher air pressure. Furthermore, the load capacity index specified in the vehicle documents continues to apply.
 
Tyres with extra high load capacity
The "C" in the term C tyres stands for "commercial". These tyres are specially designed for commercial vehicles. These can be, for example, lighter trucks, delivery vans, flatbed trucks or panel vans. In other words: vehicles that have to move higher loads at a comparatively lower speed. The multi-ply reinforced C tyres are therefore even more load-bearing than reinforced tyres.
 
Mobility-optimised tyres
A tyre with a sealing layer on the opposite side of the tyre tread. In the event of a puncture (e.g. by a nail), this layer blocks any loss of air, even if the foreign body causing the puncture is still in the tyre. It is not necessary to stop or change the tyres immediately at the roadside.

Probably the worst tyres I&#39;ve owned. I read a number of reviews before buying these and they all claimed the tyres were decent, especially for the price, but my account is not like this. The grip in the wet or damp is shocking, the bald (and punctured as it turns out) runflat Bridgestones that they replaced genuinely had more grip. Even after the tyres bedded in they didn&#39;t improve. The width is poor, they almost look stretched and this leaves the rims exposed to any slight scuff immediately. I won&#39;t be buying these again, infact they will be coming off next month and they&#39;ve only been on 6 months and covered 2k miles. If you want a tyre in this price range Do yourself a favour and buy Kumoho or Avon.

Push the pedal down when needed. Sometimes agresive start to clean off old rubber. Nexen tyres in use for rear. Plenty of thread left. Will do another 13000k miles.

Very quite tyre on my 2008 A8L! Much better ride than the Dunlop SP01's that came with the car. Only downside is no rim protection!

Very quite tyre, only downside is there's no rim protection so I'm keening the tyres more. Previous tyres were Dunlop SP01 which were very noisy but had rim protection which saved keening my alloys.
