I can’t yet comment on grip in snow and ice, as I haven’t yet driven it in those conditions, although I did buy these tyres to be able to drive in any conditions, all year round. These tyres are only on the front of the car, as these were the only All Season tyres of the correct size for the front of this car. The rear tyres are a larger size, and I have a different make of All Season tyres on the back. The car drive’s perfectly with the tyres I have fitted, and it feels very grippy, and quiet, under all conditions. I am very impressed with these tyres and I’m confident they will be excellent in snowy and icy conditions as well. It is too early to cont on wear and MPG, but that is not an issue for me.

Excellent tyres, have used these tyres on many types of vehicles over the years and they have performed superbly. They are my go to tyre.
01.06.2022 from Marky L
Whilst the grip is good in snow, these tyres really struggle to get the torque down to the road from the the 1.4 Hybrid 215PS during acceleration when the surface is wet OR dry. It's particularly bad in the wet, where the wheels spin easily. Even on the electric motor drive only, a dab of the throttle to over 80% power sets the wheels spinning at low speed. The Michelin Pilot's that were fitted as standard have much better grip on the wet roads than the Nexen. Therefore I wouldn't class the Nexen as "all season". It should really be classed as a winter tyre only. I wouldn't like to run these tyres all year round due to the inferior grip in most conditions (except snow of course). I wouldn't buy this brand if I wanted an all-weather tyre again. I'd purchase a proper winter tyre and swap around in the seasons as I've had to do with these anyway!

Overall good tyres. Slightly noisy but not to extend. This is what you would get from all-weather tyre - bit of all. Not most economical on fuel consumption again this is all-weather tyre which is not as good Michelin Cross climate but good for its price.

Better all around than the tyres supplied with the car
05.01.2024 from Nick Ibrahim
I drive mostly in the city at low speeds however when taking to motorways in the UK I drive at 70MPH and in Europe at 75MPH. The drive is smooth and fuel economy is excellent, tyre wear is good and noise levels within the car is minimal.

Excellent safe and fun. You need to give warning when it won’t arrive for weeks before the customer pays though. I was stuck without something suitable. It’s not acceptable.

Barum All-Season Tyres - The Eastern European Traditional Brand

The Barum all-season tyres are top-of-the-line tyres at a surprisingly attractive price. The tyres of Barum brand are manufactured by experienced employees in the Czech Republic for many decades. They are especially impressive because of their high-quality and durability. The all-rounders under the Barum tyres have an excellent grip in a variety of conditions on the road. Both on dry and wet roads, tyres such as the Quartaris, which prove to be as good at fast braking as they are when the road is dry or wet, or they are sure to keep track of aquaplaning.

Barum Tyres

Equally pleasing is the Barum tyre Bravuris 4x4 for SUVs and four-wheel drive cars. Tyres that do justice to any weather, provide more safety on the road, both for the frequent traveler as well as for motorists who do not use their car continually.

Tyres of this brand are especially popular among the city motorists due to their exceptional all-weather performance and good qualities. A tyre that can be driven throughout the year saves the time-consuming tyre change, the storage of the tyres and costs for the purchase of tyres for summer and winter season.

Good performance, excellent handling and low fuel consumption make not only all-season but also winter and summer Barum tyres even more popular and well-known among motorists. However, just through the merger with the tyre giant Continental AG in 1993, the success story of Barum was born. Producing under the umbrella brands of Continental the Barum tyres have ever since benefited from the know-how and sales structure of the large tyre manufacturer.

Also, the low-price of Barum all-season tyres makes them even more attractive to price-conscious motorists. Tyres are available in various sizes and with a different tread. The company is oriented to bring even more sizes on the market in the future. In the tyre models for year-round use, the manufacturer has focused mainly on the powerful development of tyres for the four-wheel drive vehicles.

The Barum all-season tyres from the Eastern European traditional brand, available at Tyres-Outlet.ie, do not only play their strengths on dry surfaces, score points with their short braking distances on snow-covered slopes, but also save your budget in the long run.
