Identify the size of your tyre
The exact dimensions of a tyre can be found on the sidewall printed mark. The graphic shows how to read properties and dimensions of the tyre:

SPEED INDEX:
The speed index indicates the maximum speed intended for the tyre. Up to this value, the manufacturer guarantees optimum operation with the appropriate tyre pressure. The maximum speed allowed for this vehicle is given in the vehicle owner's manual; this information can be used to select the appropriate speed index for the tyre. The speed index is the last mark on the sidewall of the tyre.
 
Load Index
Permissible maximum axle load per tyre in kg. To be found in the registration certificate or vehicle registration document or read directly from the tyre (two-digit number). It is permitted to fit a tyre with a higher load index.
 
Driving safety despite puncture
Runflat tyres are puncture-resistant tyres with reinforced sidewalls. This creates the so-called run-flat property. In the event of damage, this allows the vehicle to continue driving up to a distance of approx. 100 km (and even beyond depending on the product) at a maximum speed of 80 km/h, even if the pressure has been completely lost. Run-flat tyres even prevent the tyre rubber from jumping off the rim in the event of a loss of air pressure. A flat tyre is therefore still a flat tyre, but it loses some of its drama. Note: All run-flat tyres are marked with the symbol "RSC" (Runflat System Component) and may only be fitted in vehicles with a functioning air pressure control system!
 
Tyres with increased load capacity
Reinforced tyres are designed for higher loads than normal tyres. They can be identified by the designation 'RF' (reinforced) or also 'XL' or 'Extra Load'. They are used on vans, minibuses, off-road vehicles, etc. However, their mounting alone does not automatically result in higher load capacity but also requires a correspondingly higher air pressure. Furthermore, the load capacity index specified in the vehicle documents continues to apply.
 
Tyres with extra high load capacity
The "C" in the term C tyres stands for "commercial". These tyres are specially designed for commercial vehicles. These can be, for example, lighter trucks, delivery vans, flatbed trucks or panel vans. In other words: vehicles that have to move higher loads at a comparatively lower speed. The multi-ply reinforced C tyres are therefore even more load-bearing than reinforced tyres.
 
Mobility-optimised tyres
A tyre with a sealing layer on the opposite side of the tyre tread. In the event of a puncture (e.g. by a nail), this layer blocks any loss of air, even if the foreign body causing the puncture is still in the tyre. It is not necessary to stop or change the tyres immediately at the roadside.

Original equipment quality: optimum adjustment to the vehicle
Tyres with a special OEM marking on the sidewall, e.g. "MO" for Mercedes-Benz, were developed in cooperation with a specific car manufacturer and the tyre industry. These tyres have been homologated by the vehicle manufacturer and are a perfect match for a specific model. They have been specially designed to highlight or further improve the performance characteristics of the car in question, thus representing the culmination of a state-of-the-art fine-tuning process that perfectly complements the latest technological developments in the automotive industry. Tyres with manufacturer's markings can of course also be used on other vehicles.

Excellent budget choice, very good for all round safe driving at any speed. No issues at all on any road conditions throughout the year. Including on snow, ice or mud. Half the price of cross climates with 90% of their performance within all road conditions.

Very soft rubber, great grip on ice and in the wet, good in the snow, with extra grip particles in the tread. Great tyre at a great price. Much better than the Toyo's that I had on before. This is my future brand.

I cannot say whether they would be the tyre of choice when replacement is necessary. t

Such an amazing tyre from Yokohama. Equally as good, if not better, than both Uniroyal and Yokohama winter tyres that I have used in the past. So much quieter too than winter tyres. Top rated traction on both snow and ice. I have passed taxi drivers and over enthusiastic prestige German car drivers trying to go up steep snow covered hills as the Yokohama BluEarth-4S AW21 just kept on going with confidence and tenacious grip. I would swear blind that my humble Skoda Octavia Combi was a 4 x 4 rather than FWD! I understand that this tyre is TUV Sud approved and I can totally as to understand why. Such good valve tyres so go and purchase some, you will not regret it!

On wet roads, the cornering capability is reduced compared to Bridgestones, however these tyres cost 30% less. All in all, for mixed driving, it&rsquo;s a great all rounder, especially since it&rsquo;s very reasonably priced. A decent everyday tyre. We&rsquo;ll see how long it lasts, but seems promising, so far. Noise level is quite low too.

Fabulous tyres and exceptional wear, considering the price point of these, especially given my driving style. I&#39;ll definitely see over 20000 miles on these tyres which I find remarkable on a heavy car with over 400hp. Could I have better grip, sure for twice the price. Do you really need it, even for having fun on UK roads, no! They are soft rubber though, so you&#39;ll know if your alignment is out, these didn&#39;t last long on my Merc V Class!

Doing relatively high mileage of over 40k every year, I&#39;ve been through various different premium tyres over the years. Let me tell you, in the 5k miles on these tyres so far I&#39;d say they&#39;re pound for pound up there with premium tyres for everyday driving. I&#39;ve found them to be really good in the wet, no major drama with aquaplaning and my heavy right foot has encountered no issues in cornering. Strangely, I&#39;ve found that I&#39;m more confident with these in the wet than dry- they tend to be slightly unpredictable when pushing on. Not a massive issue by any means and shouldn&#39;t put anybody off, it&#39;s just highlighted by my spirited driving style! Wear seems to be decent so far, but as I said I&#39;ve only done 5k so far so too early to tell. All in all, great value for money and worth a try. On 20&#39;s, The Goodyear Eagle F1s that I had on previously were &pound;160 each, whereas I got these for &pound;115. 200 quid saved, and genuinely no worse performance. Well done Viking!

Though I&#39;d give these Davanti tyres a go as I&#39;ve seen a few Davanti dealers popping up all over the place. These tyres are reasonably good in snow and ice but the rest of the year it &quot;feels&quot; like you&#39;re driving on snow and ice. Very wayward and &quot;loose&quot; feel to them and a horrible bounce over 50mph like they aren&#39;t round anymore, not a wheel balance wobble but a up and down bounce which is very tiresome on longer journeys. There&#39;s a noticeable hum from the tyres like old fashioned aggressive winter tyres which changes pitch depending on angle of steering. I am a loyal supporter of winter tyres but these are like torture and not worth the grief in my opinion.

Piacevolmente impressionato, gomme silenziose, consumi bassi e ottimo grip. Per una guida 80% extraurbana e 20% cittadina con andatura tranquilla sono veramente ottime. Magari le crossclimate della Michelin saranno pi&ugrave; performanti, ma a questo prezzo &egrave; difficile trovare di meglio.

Sticks well to the road on corners in all conditions at all speeds. Gives confidence. Tyre is 225/40 R18. Not size available in drop down menu here. Built in kerb protection is welcome on such low profile tyres. Good value tyres, have used this brand for years over about 500,000miles with no issues, lasting 30000 miles plus on drive axles and had 66000miles on trailing rear axle pair!

My tire dimension is not listed on this web site, it&#39;s 235/35 R20. If driving straight, the tires are good. But when turning, the ABS of Tesla kicks in - making the ride very unstable. This happens in &quot;sharp&quot; bends at 50 mph, or in bends on German highways at speeds above 80mph. In very slight bends, this is not an issue. I had a similar issue with Landsail tires, but they &quot;broke in&quot; after 1000 miles of driving, meaning the instability disappeared. So hold very well on your wheel when making any turns! This was done on dry sunny weather at 50F. There&#39;s no problem driving 150mph on the German Autobahn, if straight. As long as you hold on tight, you will survive the bends - but it&#39;s not comfortable. With Pirelli, these issues don&#39;t exist - but the price is 3-fold...
