Summer tyres - optimal grip guaranteed!
On dry roads or mild weather, your tyres have to face some increased demands and must always meet safety standards. Compared to winter tyres, the rubber mixture of the summer tyres is harder, even in high temperatures. Default rolling resistance and wear are smaller, resulting in a greater lifespan, comfort and increased stability. Choose now from our offer your summer tyres at an affordable price. Our portfolio includes a wide range of tyre brands

Identify the size of your tyre
The exact dimensions of a tyre can be found on the sidewall printed mark. The graphic shows how to read properties and dimensions of the tyre:

/
SPEED INDEX:
The speed index indicates the maximum speed intended for the tyre. Up to this value, the manufacturer guarantees optimum operation with the appropriate tyre pressure. The maximum speed allowed for this vehicle is given in the vehicle owner's manual; this information can be used to select the appropriate speed index for the tyre. The speed index is the last mark on the sidewall of the tyre.

Load Index
Permissible maximum axle load per tyre in kg. To be found in the registration certificate or vehicle registration document or read directly from the tyre (two-digit number). It is permitted to fit a tyre with a higher load index.

Driving safety despite puncture
Runflat tyres are puncture-resistant tyres with reinforced sidewalls. This creates the so-called run-flat property. In the event of damage, this allows the vehicle to continue driving up to a distance of approx. 100 km (and even beyond depending on the product) at a maximum speed of 80 km/h, even if the pressure has been completely lost. Run-flat tyres even prevent the tyre rubber from jumping off the rim in the event of a loss of air pressure. A flat tyre is therefore still a flat tyre, but it loses some of its drama. Note: All run-flat tyres are marked with the symbol "RSC" (Runflat System Component) and may only be fitted in vehicles with a functioning air pressure control system!

Tyres with increased load capacity
Reinforced tyres are designed for higher loads than normal tyres. They can be identified by the designation 'RF' (reinforced) or also 'XL' or 'Extra Load'. They are used on vans, minibuses, off-road vehicles, etc. However, their mounting alone does not automatically result in higher load capacity but also requires a correspondingly higher air pressure. Furthermore, the load capacity index specified in the vehicle documents continues to apply.

Tyres with extra high load capacity
The "C" in the term C tyres stands for "commercial". These tyres are specially designed for commercial vehicles. These can be, for example, lighter trucks, delivery vans, flatbed trucks or panel vans. In other words: vehicles that have to move higher loads at a comparatively lower speed. The multi-ply reinforced C tyres are therefore even more load-bearing than reinforced tyres.

Mobility-optimised tyres
A tyre with a sealing layer on the opposite side of the tyre tread. In the event of a puncture (e.g. by a nail), this layer blocks any loss of air, even if the foreign body causing the puncture is still in the tyre. It is not necessary to stop or change the tyres immediately at the roadside.

Tyres optimised for electric vehicles.
Tyre developed for electric vehicles. These tyres can also be used without hesitation on vehicles with other drive systems.

Original equipment quality: optimum adjustment to the vehicle
Tyres with a special OEM marking on the sidewall, e.g. "MO" for Mercedes-Benz, were developed in cooperation with a specific car manufacturer and the tyre industry. These tyres have been homologated by the vehicle manufacturer and are a perfect match for a specific model. They have been specially designed to highlight or further improve the performance characteristics of the car in question, thus representing the culmination of a state-of-the-art fine-tuning process that perfectly complements the latest technological developments in the automotive industry. Tyres with manufacturer's markings can of course also be used on other vehicles.

16.12.2022 from KEVIN
Superb tyres with great handling, the value of the tyre is much more affordable than those branded ones. Good tyre choice to go with.
07.11.2022 from Tommy Robertson
Really impressed with these relatively low cost tyres. Great grip in the wet and we see plenty rain here in Scotland.
14.04.2020 from Ed
These are some of the cheapest tyres around. I've had these tyres on a few different cars, and being honest I can't really fault them. They aren't sports tyres but will take most things in their stride. I do 70 Miles a day down quick twisting country roads at 50-70 mph on these and I can say with these on, I don't worry about the safety of myself or any passengers. They'll be my first choice the next time I need a new tyre
31.07.2019 from Ian York
The previous tyres had horrendous understeer, these seem remarkably better. Early days yet, but for the price seem excellent.

Happy with these tyres. They have lasted long but now need replacing. Mid-price, reliable, would buy again.

23.09.2015 from Mike
Excellent all-round tyre except for tyre wear. Comparable to Michelin in performance, but it won't last nearly as long, so unless you are worried about punctures, might be worth buying Michelin.

Really poor wear. Would not buy again. Was getting near 20k miles on cheaper brands. Expected more from Firestone
21.01.2020 from James
These tyres perform well, they're comfortable and they're quiet, but they're fragile and wear too quickly. They get punctured and damaged really easily and don't last as long as I would expect. I've had two full sets of these tyres but after yet another puncture I'm sick of constantly having to change them so I've had them all replaced with another brand. I won't buy these again and I don't recommend them.

Very good Tyre, low noise, very good in the wet.

Summer Tyres 195/65 R15 – Quiet and Sporty

Summer tyres 195/65 R15 are a tyre model that is used as a standard in many vehicles, and therefore the manufacturers strive to achieve a good performance of this tyre size.

Depending on the version, body type, engine size etc., the summer tyres 195/65 R15 are tailored to be fitted on vehicles such as Opel Astra, Ford Focus, Volkswagen Passat, Renault Megane, the Kia Cee'd and Skoda Octavia. In regards to these cars, the tyres that provide proper handling in everyday city driving as well as out on the road perform the best. For that reason, they should have good grip properties, offer decent comfort and provide fuel savings.

With the 195/65 R15 as a summer tyre, consumers find a middle ground between a narrow and a wide tyre. This size supports a quiet as well as sporty driving style. On top of that, new tests show that most manufacturers meet the consumers environmental and safety criteria. Summer tyres tested and rated as “the best models” in this size such as the Pirelli Cinturato P1 Verde, Bridgestone Turanza T001 and GT Radial Champiro FE1 by ADAC in 2017 prove just that.

Ultimately, the choice of tyres hangs down to the intended use of the tyres and your preference. Also, before buying you should review the tyre specifications and compare the test results with other users impressions.

Tyres-Outlet.ie allows you to compare products with each other in our offer and select tyres matched to your car and your driving style.
