The "M + S" (or M & S, MS) marking can currently be found on winter and all season tyres. Besides this marking, a snowflake symbol can be found on some models. The M + S tyres that have the snowflake symbol meet the higher quality standards. Since 2011, winter tyres are mandatory in Ireland. The speed index indicates the maximum speed intended for the tyre. Up to this value, the manufacturer guarantees optimum operation with the appropriate tyre pressure. The maximum speed allowed for this vehicle is given in the vehicle owner's manual; this information can be used to select the appropriate speed index for the tyre. The speed index is the last mark on the sidewall of the tyre.

These are the first Heidenau tyres for me, would definitely recommend them. I haven&#39;t used them off road but the tread pattern is good so I&#39;m certain they would be fine for me. On the road they grip well (better with a few km on them) on roundabouts, rough surfaces and just perform well in general inspiring confidence. I bought them because I could get a matched tubed pair in the wheel sizes for my bike, but would choose them again when I need replacements anyway. I have a 130/18 on the rear as well as this one on the front. Good value and recommended.

An outstanding 50/50 tyre for my CRF250 Rally. Excellent performance on roads, very good on Gravel tracks but for heavy mud you&#39;ll need something more aggressive. Really good life, excellent stability and grip.
